We infuse education.
A few years ago, my sister got very sick with cancer. Despite multiple surgeries, brutal treatments and a regimen of pills, she only got sicker. Until the end, she was in pain. Not once did a doctor offer her medical marijuana as a way to treat her symptoms or pain. I wanted to know why. As I sought answers, I learned that others I met had the same questions and the same curiosity. Our Community Harvest was created to help companies, organizations, communities and colleges build and deploy cannabis education content and programs that inform, intrigue, train, and support cannabis professionals, and the cannabis curious.—Rob Mejia, founder
Why cannabis education?
Companies want to ensure their employees—whether cannabis handlers or ancillary support—understand policy and regulations as well as the vocabulary, science, history, and social justice implications of cannabis.
Communities, especially where cannabis operations are based, want to have clear, evidence-based information regarding cannabis and its potential effects on traffic fatalities, underage use, dependency, and crime. These concerns need to be addressed with research, understanding, and compassion.
Colleges, universities, and continuing education programs need to offer new courses, certifications, and degrees that help ready and prepare students for this booming industry.
